- Interacting directly with patients and their families, either at Rosedale Hospice or the Outreach & Education Centre.
- Assisting with special events (fundraisers and others).
- Providing administrative support.
- Assisting with food preparation and/or kitchen clean-up.

- Feeling the personal satisfaction of helping others and making a difference in the community.
- Opportunities for growth through educational offerings and resources, including a library.
- Special mailings, including the Hospice Calgary newsletter and our Volunteer newsletter.
Training and Support
Individuals who would like to volunteer with Hospice Calgary are asked to participate in an initial eight-session orientation program. This is followed by additional training in the area in which the volunteer has chosen to participate. Volunteer training programs are offered yearly. Hospice Calgary also provides its volunteers with semi-annual continuing education days, regular meetings and on-going support.
