Hospice Calgary

Who we are

Hospice Calgary is a registered, not-for-profit, family-centered, community-based organization.

Our dedicated professionals provide compassionate support and education for grieving individuals and families; and specialized, personalized care for the dying.

At Hospice Calgary, every member of the family finds the care, support and understanding they need, for as long as they feel they need it. Our programs are designed around the needs of our clients and are available regardless of ability to pay. Programs respond to each and every participant with respect and dignity.

A fully integrated team of medical, nursing, psychosocial and spiritual care professionals delivers care and services. Approximately 150 trained volunteers, who donate almost 10,800 hours of their time each year, supplement this care.

Founded in 1980, Hospice Calgary has grown from a single program service serving a half a dozen clients, to a complete range of programs and services for the entire family. services from one or more of Hospice Calgary's programs. The people who reach out to us get the care and the support they need for as long as they need it – sometimes accessing our services over many weeks or months.
