Our Beliefs
We believe that death is a part of life.
We believe that dying and grieving are a natural and integral part of life.
We believe that all individuals have the right to receive care and support throughout the dying and grieving process.
We believe that grieving is a highly personal and individual experience that varies from person to person. We believe that understanding, care and support should be available for as long as each bereaved individual requests it.
We believe that our service should respond to the needs of the patient and family.
We believe in the rights of the dying patient and their loved ones, and that people have the right to make choices and decisions based on truth and understanding. Informed decision-making is a tenant of hospice philosophy and we strongly support informed decision-making opportunities and the participation of patient and family in managing their care.
We believe that no one should ever have to feel alone or unsupported as they navigate the maze of treatments, services and life choices when facing this phase of life.
We believe that every individual has the right to consistent and quality care and services.
We believe that the community has a responsibility to assist in the care of its members.
