Hospice Calgary has a long history of providing educational opportunities and training for professionals, volunteers and the general public who want to broaden their understanding of palliative and hospice care, and further enhance their skills in supporting individuals and their families living with a life threatening illness or who are bereaved.
EXCITING NEWS! As of September 2009, Hospice Calgary is now an approved Continuing Education Accredited Provider for Category "A" credits by the Association of Social Work Boards! Please see individual listings below for workshops that qualify for the credits.

Diversity Conversations: Sharing Experiences with Humility — “Gay/Lesbian Issues Related to End of Life Care”
Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at 1245 - 70 Avenue S.E. Join us as Blair Collins, a staff member of Hospice Calgary, and James Tweedie, Executive Director of Calgary Outlink: The Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity, provide an overview of the Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual and Trans-identified community, and the end of life issues specific to this community.
